Sewer Powered Battery

You can make a simple, low voltage battery simply by capturing the electrical imbalance produced when microorganisms break down sewage.

You don't have to even use sewage, you can simply use swamp water or water with plant food added. However, towns could create multiple voltaic cells and capture electricity during the waste treatment process.
