Six Core Permaculture Techniques

This video by Jack Spirko is jam packed full of information on permaculture and sustainability.




The Core Six Techniques of Permaculture:

  1. The forest floor is a lake (Roots retain water).
  2. Nature NEVER monocrops.
  3. Slower water creates more life.
  4. Fungi are the teeth of the forest.
  5. A forest grows on a fallen forest.
  6. There are 7 primary layers to a forest - Canopy, Low trees, shrubs, herbaceous, rhizosphere, soil, vertical layer (vines).
